Here are a few sample itineraries from past tours (Note: some locations may no longer be available, these are just some past examples)

Chocolate and Wine Lovers Day Trip (Southern Indiana)

Our first stop will be Winzerwald Winery where we will enjoy a tasting of chocolate and wine.  Next we head to Scout Mountain Winery and enjoy more chocolate and wine along with a delicious, private lunch prepared especially for us.  After lunch we’re off to Turtle Run Winery for yet another tasting with wine and chocolate.  Best Vineyards will offer amazing views of the surrounding countryside along with the featured chocolate and wine tastings.  Finally, we visit one of Indiana’s newest wineries, Monkey Hollow.  There we will be treated to delicious cheeses and fruit arranged exclusively for our group in addition to the chocolate and wine pairings.

Shawnee Wine Trail in Southern Illinois

At Blue Sky Vineyard we will be treated to a special visit with the vintner, which will include tastings right out of the barrels and lunch in the barrel room.  We will have a tasting at Alto Vineyards, which was the first one on the trail, along with StarView Vineyards, Orlandini Vineyard, and Von Jakob Vineyards, which also features a micro-brewery and live musical entertainment.  Our final stop will be Hedman Vineyards, where we will enjoy a tasting followed by dinner at their Peach Barn Café.

Southern Illinois Wine Trail

Blue Sky Winery, a Wine-Oh! Tour group favorite, will be our first visit.  At their beautiful Tuscan-style  tasting room we will enjoy a wine tasting followed by lunch.  Bella Terra Winery with its beautiful lake-side setting, provides our next tasting.  They offer a delicious homemade Sangria as well.  Hogg Hollow Winery is a family friendly winery, with a farm-like setting.  We will have a tasting here, where many of the wines are named for owner, Steve Hogg’s grandchildren.  Chocolate pairs well with wine, so we will pay a visit to the Chocolate Factory located near Dixon Springs State Park.  The Chocolate Factory features over 50 varieties of specialty and traditional gourmet chocolate candies, fudge, old fashioned peanut brittle and more!  Shawnee Winery is our next stop, where we will enjoy a tasting in their gift shop style tasting room.  Our last visit of the day will be at Cache River Basin Vineyard and Winery.  Here we will enjoy a wine tasting and a delicious dinner in their Wineaux’s Restaurant, which overlooks their vineyard and wine bottle shaped lake.

Kentucky’s Bourbon Country

Our first stop will be Heaven Hill Distillery.  At Heaven Hill we will have a short guided tour of the museum and a tasting.  Each guest will receive a small souvenir bottle of Bourbon upon departure.  Next we will visit Barton 1792 Distillery, where we will enjoy a guided tour and a private tasting in the barrel room.  See the original spring that was discovered by Tom Moore in 1879 and take the opportunity to drink the water straight from the source.  We will enjoy a pre-ordered box lunch along the way, as we head to Willett Distillery.  At Willett we will learn about the history of this independent distillery dating back to 1935, enjoy a tasting and receive a souvenir glass.  Our final distillery today will be Jim Bean American Stillhouse for a tasting and a self-guided tour.  We will stop at Cracker Barrel for dinner as we make our way back home.

St. Louis Beer Experience

Our first stop will be Anheuser-Busch Brewery, where we will participate in Beer School.  In our 45 minute Beer School, we will learn the brewing process of different beer varieties, pouring techniques, food pairings, and participate in a tasting panel led by a brewmaster.  Our next stop will be Gus’ Pretzels.  While your Tour director picks up your lunch selection here, you may enjoy watching the pretzel making process in action.  We will choose from a selection of pretzel dogs, brats and sandwiches.  We take our sandwiches and head to Urban Chestnut Brewing Co., where you may chose to enjoy a beer or choose a tasting flight with your lunch.  Next we will visit Six Row Brewing for a tasting flight of their 8 beers on tap.  At Square One Brewery, we will also have a tasting flight, choosing 4 beers on their menu before heading to our final stop at Schlafly Bottleworks.  Schlafly, established in 1991, is St. Louis’ largest locally owned independent brewery.  While we are here, you may want to take a look at their history in the “brewseum” or visit the gift shop.  Then, decide if you would like to do a tasting flight, enjoy a cold beer (or other beverage), have some appetizers or even dinner before we make our way back home.
